This marks the final edition of the
Marinscope Newsbreak on Radio Sausalito. Since 2006, Radio Sausalito has
partnered with Marinscope Newspapers - providing them with a free weekly radio
slot to share their headlines and promote their publication. Last week, the
current publisher of the paper Paul Hutcheson informed me that he "no longer has
the resources to put towards this radio
show."
Many of you will
remember that in 2009 the Marin Scope purchased the troubled Novato Advance and
moved their operations from Sausalito to the opposite end of the county. That
'changing of the guard' combined with the longer commute for their reporter from
Novato to Sausalito means that this partnership apparanntly must come to an end.
I would like to thank Paul
Anderson, the previous publisher of the Scope for having the original vision to
partner up with Radio Sausalito. And Dr. Vijay Mallya the owner of the
Marinscope for keeping local papers alive here in Marin
County.
Radio Sausalito is
committed to keeping you informed and is already planning an exciting
partnership which will bring you the latest on what's happening in Southern
Marin in an up-to-the-minute format, not available anywhere else on the dial -
so stay tuned!
In this final
marinscope newsbreak, a look back at the reporters who hosted the show for the
last five years and over 250 episodes...
